Virginless San Francisco. Why am I surprised?

I was talking to... I forget who, a week or so ago, and discovered that the San Francisco Virgin Megastore is closing. For some reason it really affected me. I was starting to get into the reasons why that might be, when I said I'd just blog about it instead.

I was upset when Virgin here closed too but it was replaced by HMV and they left the lay out and most of the stock exactly the same so then I was no longer sadface (the only difference seemed to be that they moved the japanese anamation stuff to the bottom floor with the DVDs and made the old japanese anamation section on the third floor into a place for music books)

ah, yeah, it was like that here when Tower Records closed... I was bummed, but then Rasputin bought the location and they are way better than Tower so I was pleased... they moved stuff around but the shelves and stuff are all basically the same
