June 5th, International Lolita Day
It doesn't look as though there's a Philadelphia meetup planned for Saturday, June 5th (International Lolita Day), so we should do something! I was thinking a craft picnic in Fairmount Park would be nice.
Any craft is fine-- sewing, beading, embroidery, paper craft, drawing, etc etc. The idea is just to relax in the shade with some food and amusement. XD
Location: Fairmount Park near the Horticultural Center
Date: Saturday, June 5th, 2010
Time: 11 am - 5 pm
What to bring: picnic food to share and a craft
Dress: the weather will be warm, so wear lightweight clothes
To avoid confusion and make sure everyone can find each other, we're going to meet at the entrance gates at 11 am and then walk together to a suitable shady place to spread the blankets. I'll bring a couple of tarps and a blanket, but it's a good idea for everyone to bring something to spread on the ground.
Rainy day contingency plan: I'll make an update post here in the community to let everyone know that the meetup is canceled if it looks like rain. In that case, we can try something indoors instead. I have several ideas already, so let's focus on the craft picnic. :3
