How can I twist this around to be about me? A story! randomzen July 19 2007, 05:02:19 UTC
One of the first things that I noticed about San Francisco was the homeless and street performers. There were three-card Monte players, dancers, people selling various arts and crafts; this one woman, who held my attention for a good 10 minutes with a comedy routine, finished her show by juggling fire. Even the true run-down homeless there sell magazines (or carry out similar duties). You'd have thought I was from a farm in Oklahoma instead of a major city with the way I gawked in disbelief around each corner.

Philadelphia's street population needs to get in touch with their appointed Municipal Busking leaders and revamp our night culture! The current five tricks of our city's unfortunate are getting old: playing shitty music, sleeping, stinking, mugging, and going without medication and causing a ruckus. The only benefit to that last one is that they don't expect monies since it's not technically meant to be a performance.
