baked 150 cookies today (from scratch mind ya) for the dinner after church tomorrow in honor of his grace bishop antoun and the (by then ordained) deacon david noetic_toe. i'm so excited for david and for our church. i guess having more than one cookie sheet would have made things go a bit faster. i even missed vespers cuz i was still baking

ah... well. My youth choir sang the entire album one Youth Sunday in 1979. We had bright read t-shirts with gold letters "Child of the King" they said. And we wore *blue jeans* in church. Horrors. We even had a rock band to back us up. Very Jesus People for a Southern Methodist Church in the 70s. Mind you, nowadays that same congregation has your standard over-head projection electronic music "Seeker service" on Sundays. But we were there first :-)
