Just a quick post to say the storm didn't knock out our power (for more than a second or two) so far, and everything seems to be all right here. Of course, there's still more rain and wind in the forecast. Haven't seen what the conditions are like outside yet, what with the lack of... oh, what's that thing called again? The sun

Yes, we were lucky too. We are fine, and we didn't lose power. I was almost sure we would lose power, but surprisingly, I didn't even see any intersections without lights on my morning commute.

Same here, for yesterday. Even though the local radio station said traffic lights were out in the area where I work, I didn't see anything of the sort. However, only a few blocks from my house, an entire tree was uprooted, falling into the street (enough to block the entire right lane). Scary. But thank goodness it didn't fall on the owner's house or a neighbor's.

Thanks, hon. We lost two pieces from the roof's gutter... but it's nothing compared to what others went through, and just a simple, material thing.

Glad that you are doing okay. The cat and I survived the storm as well and we still have power. I was doubtful for over an hour that we would keep it as the lights kept flickering on and off.

Also I started watching American Horror Story: Asylum and I love it! I even went out and bought the season one DVDs and watched the whole season in a day and half.

And most importantly - safe travels!
