I keep my list going at www.goodreads.com so that I don't forget anything. I have a "bookshelf" labeled "2008 Books Read" so I can keep track. You might give it a try. :)
I would do something similar to this, but my reading this year was sadly lacking. Hopefully this year I can get into a schedule that will allow me to read the numbers of books I have in the past. Reading less than 20 books in a year really kind of bothers me.
Was Tiling 1-2-3 helpful? (I keep seeing the 1-2-3 books at Home Depot and wondering if they're any good. I picked up some 1-2-3 DVDs when the local one closed but haven't watched them yet.)
I found it informative because I didn't know anything about tiling. The pictures are great and it made me think about things I'd not considered (like ... what happens if I rip out the floor and find that it's rotten and unlevel?)I guess we'll find out just how informative it was if I ever get around to actually DOING the tiling.
I have some 30-year-old vinyl flooring in my bathroom that needs to go NOW (or, well, in April or May when the basement isn't freezing) and I was thinking about replacing it with tile--but, like you, I have no idea what's lurking under there other than millipedes. >>

Some of these I've not read in forever.
BTW, may I recomment Arturo Pérez-Reverte's The Fencing Master?
