ok, can we all agree upon the fact that "Q" is simply in the wrong spot in the alphabet? it is obviously far too early, and clearly should be lumped toward the back with X and Z and other weird ones like that (the "Table 9" of the alphabet). i wonder how normal letters like N, O, P, R, S, T felt when Q suddenly moved right into the middle of their ( Read more... )

well the thing is, it's not just if i'm looking up a Q word... let's say i'm trying to look up "sessile" and i see "sesquitertian" on the page... my instinct is always going to be to flip BACK to sess*, since sesq* makes me feel like i must be just about at the end of the ses*s.

so you can see how this problem is of tremendous magnitude and pervasiveness.
