Actually, there was an article on Orcas not-too-long ago in National Geographic. Their herds a lot like human families, and (to the best of my memory, I'll have to read it over) they've never attacked a human in the wild. Technically, I don't even think they're whales, just giant dolphins. Shamu was probably just acting in self-defense... can't really blame him, since if some strange man got naked in my tank, I'd beat the crap out of him, too...
Well there also is a documented case of two orcas playing catch with a baby sea-lion. By beating him with their tails, catching them in their mouths, and then spitting him back out so the other could get him. For at least a half-hour that the eye-witness saw. (It's in the book Dark Nature.)
