I drifted away fast after high school. It didn't help that I was far away, but I'm still not sure why it happened. She said I probably would, and I promised her I wouldn't.

I need to get all A's this semester. My classes look interesting, and I think I can do it. I certainly have the brains, and I can make the time.

But the urge to run away and become a proper Artsy Fuck (TM) is growing stronger every day. I'm really worried about being able to keep my motivation. My hope is that if I promise myself that after I graduate, I can take a year off before grad school to do a 40 hr/wk job, and devote the rest of my time to doing the things I wish I did during college, then I'll be able to keep my motivation going for just one more year. Because that's all I need right now. Just one year's worth of motivation.
