I just got the news that my mum got a letter from a group of lawyers who tried to sue her because she incidently parked in front of their garage...

They wanted 820€ for this, wanted to take this to court...

Now she asked if this could be arranged out of court and they offered 229€...

Fucking lawyers, seriously.

This is blackmailing. I would go to the Anwaltskammer and complain about these lawyers.

All they could do is seek damages for "lost revenue". Otherwise, all they could've done is call the police about the mis-parked car, but they themselves are in no position to sue over a wrongly parked car.

I'll tell her that... but with she will probably say "No I can't do that, they'll probably sue me for something else if I did that."

Her strategy is to write them a letter about how little she gets payed and how she can't buy us any christmas presents this christmas, followed by a really bitter "MERRY CHRISTMAS"...
