I haven't made a real update for a very long time at least for me, compared to how I used to be.

Thanksgiving has been quite a trip.  That was a pun.  Or something.  I got to see Justine, Lauren, Travis, Erin, Jeremy, Alison, Stacey, Seth, Stephanie and Liz.  And Alex.  It was neat talking about our differing experiances.  But it was also unsettling ( Read more... )

Every person has a different perspective on the world and on spirituality or religion. Some people feel that being in the church choir, for example, is a really important and fulfilling thing while others think it's completely worthless.

Whatever is the most important to you- be in in life, in work, or in your faith- that's what you should focus on. If that's more than one thing, do it. If it's nothing, do it.

That's how I see it.

I totally agree with Dano. But also, I don't think you should limit yourself to anything you do decide to choose, nor should you feel you don't do enough or too much for one thing or another. How much shouldn't be your focus, but the fact that you actaully did it is what counts. Have you heard of the 7 corporal works of mercy? If not, 6 of the 7 are in Mt 25:31-46. Those to me are more important than making sure to join the choir like Dano said, or telling yourself you must teach sunday school or must go on mission trips otherwise people/God will look down on you.
