Six facts about me, hopefully embarrassing, because
I was tagged by
situla.
1) My very first CD was Paula Abdul. I shit you not. I was 13, but that's no excuse.
2) I also bought Paula Abdul's next CD. Enough said.
3) I'm a music snob. When people tell me, "Oh, you'll like this band. It's right up your alley," I never do. I don't know if it's subconscious or a coincidence, but it ends up that way. Also, I hate it when people describe their bands as, "we're a mix of ska and punk" because that's code for "We suck." It's just the way it is. Live with it.
4) When I was undergrad, I squeezed my friend Karen's boob to reciprocate for squeezing mine. I also said something like, "Equal rights, equal treatment." Subsequently, she punched me in the nuts. She denies this, but she really did do it. I don't know if I'll ever be able to have kids.
5) When I was in elementary school (maybe first grade or kindergarten), I remember there was a trend going around where some boys would kiss other boys on the cheek. Seriously. Some would laugh and others would be disgusted. I wonder if that would be an accurate predictor of homophobia. For the record, I was a kisser once and a kissee a few times, and I didn't care. As a grown man, I'm straight and gay-friendly. Hmm.
6) I went to Vegas one spring break with two of my friends, and there was this karaoke/kiosk booth where you made your own music video in the booth in front of a blue screen for $20. So we did Devo's "Whip It". I have the video somewhere, but I won't post it anywhere until I know for sure that I won't ever run for public office. I remember that all I did was the robot, and I wasn't even that good at the doing the robot.
Whew. That only took two days.
