Wow... in-teresting. Not something I would have guessed.

as others have said, I don't think she wrote him as being gay, she just so happened to write out a couple lines in the whole series that could be mistaken as homosexual. And as she was falling out of the limelight she found out she could just announce that Dumbledore was gay the whole time and wah-lah, make headlines.
