Material Girl (or Guy in my case) 1_peach_2_peach April 17 2005, 16:39:30 UTC
For a long time I thought I wasn't materialistic because I wasn't--in the most obvious sense. I didn't want to buy stuff all the time and accumulate possessions. I didn't care about prestigous image. I could live on very little money. I didn't feel compelled to go and buy. Then I realized I'd be pretty distraught if I lost the few possessions I have. Everything I own is in one room and if that room burns down... Crap. I am materialistic after all. That's when I realized entire consecration must be maintained moment by moment. Or maybe day by day. Or maybe "regularly" would suffice. Too bad it's so hard to remember to do.
