Regarding italics. If you use the "<" bracket and bracket off a lowercase "i" that will start italics, then to end italics place an "i" in brackets, but precede the "i" with a slash "/"... I would just type what I am talking about but LJ would turn that into valid code.
To see what I'm talking about, look at the title line. Once you put it together, you get a nice finished product, as below.
The movie, Phantom of the Opera, is a huge pile of crappy director crap.
