I used to have a roommate who would tease me about my passion for wine. Whenever I started to talk about wine, she would roll her eyes and cry out, "You're such a wine snob!" provincial fears and move beyond two buck chuck...

lol... you really know how to insult a person!

97+ points for the krug champagne is pretty fantastic. great posts on wine always. people either "get it" or they don't.

i can understand if someone prefers beer over wine. what annoys me, however, is when beer drinkers try to make wine drinkers feel bad for their choice of beverages.

cheers! krug 96 rocks! although, the cristal rose 96 i had recently was pretty nice too (and i'm not a big cristal fan)!
and one other thing...what is your daily bubbly? do you like egly ouriet?

i wish i could drink egly ouriet on a daily basis! i'm generally a fan of grower fizz, so almost anything under $40 by terry theise or becky wasserman works really well as a daily drinker.

cheese helps to soften the tannins in wine, which makes it more palatable. chances are the wine you are drinking is either poorly made or overly tannic.
