you know it may have been a bottle variation with the 1982 las cases, as it's been perfect for me once, and a bit off when i tried it another time. but having said that, i personally prefer the 1986 to the 1982--and i love that las cases has a better price range (as in cheaper/more steady, RELATIVELY, but nonetheless) in comparison to the other finer wines in bordeaux.
