that's so strange-
tho, I don't quite understand why it's being canceled... is it coz of Field Day? or because something wasn't get organized?
either way, it doesn't affect me!
and yes I totally remember u saying, "I just have a bad feeling about it.."

2 months isn't nearly enough time to organize a festival. these things are planned waaaaay in advance, and the promoters would stand to lose a whole lot of money if they tried to reorganize it in such a short amount of time. all sorts of reservations and accomodations would have to be made in very short notice, which increases the prices and the difficulty. new permits need to be granted, spaces secured, stages built, security, vending, etc. etc. etc..... it could be done, but it would be very poorly done, and could turn into a catastrophe. its not worth the risk in the eyes of the promoters (myself included) and its much easier to just deal with the financial loss as it is right now, and send everyone their money back. they'll be straightened up by the end of this week anyway, assuming TN goes as well as it did last year. im sorry you're so disappointed, but i guess thats what you get for putting faith in the island of long.

ps- when i said "myself included" obviously i didn't mean im one of the promoters, i just meant i agree with them, and feel its a good decision. long island simply doesn't wanna host concerts i guess.......

They moved last year's moe. or les festival like right before it was supposed to go on, I believe, and I think everything went smoothly. I guess this was just a bigger deal.

Oh well, I should've known better than to get so extremely excited for something. I always get let down.
