not all christians live in fear... you know that im not really sure, i think i dont believe in god, but there are plenty of christians out there who just want to live by what jesus taught because he just made sense. it's not fair to generalize all christians by the obnoxious ones that are loud about being fundamentalists.

you'll notice i never once said "christians". I specifically said "up tight religious types", because the people that aren't up tight about it are ok with it. The kid who sits next to me in class said he believes in god, but thought that kid was way out of line, and was as pissed at him as i was.

I'm convinced everyone who tries to project their beliefs on others are really doing so because they realized that "Heaven" is totally gonna suck if their friends and family aren't up there because they don't believe in Jesus or Heaven or all that stuff. My aunt came home once after finding Jesus, and proceeded to totally alienate my brother and I because we're down with Eastern Ideas...and its like

but yeah, while i think you over generalized, i understand your point. there are a significant amount of people who are that way though, and thats exactly what i encountered in class today.

I'm always amazed at how intolerant people are to other views and opinions, and then how quickly they can turn around and say that they're open-minded. I suppose we're all guilty of it on one level or another...

I'd like to see this kid's reaction when he finds out that the world revolves around the sun and that it's not flat.
