the photos are strangely beautiful and at first glance, the animals don't appear to be dead, until you get to the one's where it's just their head.

i was watching a show on public tv tonight about chickens and there was this farmer back in th 50's who was going about the usual business of chopping the heads off of his chickens, when in the pile of headless chicks, one of the bodies got up and started walking around. normally, he would have just took
another whack at it, but for some reason, this guy decided to stop the bleeding
and this chicken lived for months on. they took it around to sideshows with it's head kept nearby in a jar. just goes without saying that sometimes, people do strange, yet intriguing things.

I think people are probably bothered by these works of art more than in there everyday choices because...
1. she used animals we would consider as pets/ Animals we find cute and adorable.
2. Most people don't consider farm animals as anything but food, there born and raised to be food and clothing.
3. Also lots of people would consider these photos a waste of life because at least when we eat or wear animal products it is put to "good" use rather than just being aesthetically pleasing.

I really think people should take more time to think about what they use and eat in there everyday life and trully look at what the ramifications might be.
