So, I am not sure what happened to my computer, but suddenly it's running REALLY slowly (like startup used to take 2 minutes and is upwards of 10 now), plus it can't play an .mp3 without sounding like a skipping record. It's still under warranty from Best Buy though (mwahahaha! gettin' my money's worth out of this $300 compie). The downside is

some of your ram might have gotten knocked loose, it happens to laptops sometimes.

Check your sys info to see what amount of ram it says you have, and if thats less than the amount of RAM you should have, pop open the back, pop out your ram, and gently press the stick in until you hear a click. Repeat for as many sticks as you have.

sigh. nigella is awesome. i have her baking cookbook, and it's amazing. but the whole computer/stranded thing sucks :( hope it gets better! :-*
