Yes -I find myself in that camp. Part of the issue for me, I think, is the level of competition involved in being a "girly girl." I can't measure up to that level of make-up wearing, consumerism, and -I guess- craft. And I suspect these people of lying, too. But who am I to talk? I lie all the time in relation to my "race."
It takes so much time & money to be a girly girl-- the shopping, the manicures, the highlights in your hair-- I've always suspected that people who do those things are really boring. I mean, really?? You can't find anything better to spend on? Don't you have a hobby?!?
Hi! Just wanted to post that although I desire to be a lifelong learner (through schools, trainings, college, seminars, and BOOKS) I am right now raising my kids. I think this is the most important job. I have been entrusted with them for such a short amount of time. I am blessed to be doing so.
I think even us frugal minded people are having a hard time living anywhere, college educated or not.
