Confession Thursday: Lake in the yard edition

I confess that returning from eight days in Maine didn't involve a weird-world-change the way returning from the roadtrip to North Carolina for Katie Bray Strickland's sendoff did. The city was the city was the city. A bit disappointing

Well, maybe I shouldn't say my worldview changed. Maybe I should say everything looked oddly different. Though I also felt aware that it wasn't my view that had changed so much as me. Hard to explain. It was more of a "feeling" thing.

Vacation. David and I join friends up in Peru, Maine (on a pond) every year for a week.

No. But obviously I should. I really slow on the take with these kinds of things.
