I'm one of those rare people who've never contracted Chicken Pox. My brother hadn't either, until his mid-20s. So, of course, I live with the knowledge that some day I might get it and, if I do, it will probably be horrible ( Read more... )

I agree with Jos, but will also say that Chicken Pox are crazy scary, the older you get. I'm trying not to worry about either!

I had the pox real bad as a kid (I still have some scars from it), but I too have heard that it is worse for adults than kids. I think the obvious solution is to start licking children on playgrounds and get it over with. Of course, that will cause a completely different problem.

Seriously, though, some people don't get things. I'm reading about the plague in London, and it's crazy to think your whole block could be wiped out by something and you could be fine. Disease is a strange thing.
