I got the keys to the new house yesterday and went over to clean a bit this evening after D came to get the kids.
Things I need to talk to the estate agent about tomorrow:- Missing light bulb in my bedroom (according to the lease all bulbs need to be working when I vacate)

Enough is enough
Ok, I've spent two whole days moping and feeling sorry for myself.
Over the next ten days I will do the following:- Read the entire Twilight series
- Clean the house (and finally unpack my desk things)
- Buy a small canvass and paint on it
- Go through all of my clothes and donate anything I don't want

Tuesday again. Wow, the days seem to be flying. B is doing the second week of 'summer school'. M is content to mostly be at home but also go for bike rides to the park and have his room to himself. The weekend seems to have turned out well considering I have my period and am bleeding like a spigot. Hard as I tried, J didn't manage a nap on Friday and we had a later dinner with B and M. This seems to be happening fairly often on Fridays, but I'm not complaining as it's sometimes nice to have dinner with less exclaiming and more adult/older ( Read more... ) -

B is doing this 'summer school' at his new school and loves it. They're mostly doing art and it's only for children going into Year 7 - a great way to meet some of the kids and get to know his way around before the school is packed with teenagers and it's noisy and chaotic and stressful. A few things
Gramma fell and broke her arm on Tuesday. I'm absolutely gutted. How off is the timing for this? My aunt is dealing with this on her own, my mother has no intention of going and I'm here. She's supposed to be doing well and is out of the hospital, but this happened because she was in the kitchen pitting cherries without her cane or walker like ( Read more... )
