This was brilliant, what a great idea. I'm a little sad that Merlin's parents weren't his blood kin after all, but that's of little consequence.

Perfectly voiced, especially your Gaius, I could hear his voice as I read it. Bravo :)

I did have to fudge and handwave (which sounds like a none-too-reliable firm of solicitors) a little over Merlin's parents - and my beta reader pointed out that it would make a lot more sense for Arthur to be the Immortal, to which I said yes, it would, but that isn't how the story wants to go - but I think it's viable. I have a whole backstory for it, but there was no way to fit it in.
