50-book challenge 2011: books read July-December

Very strange animals, the Moomin books. I don't think it's actually possible to define them.

You read more books than I did in 2011, despite being so sick! Well done! I've got a heap of books (bigger since Christmas) sitting by the bed and I just can't start reading for long without falling asleep. Pathetic!

You moved house - it sounds so easy when you put it like that, doesn't it! - with all that that entails, and were working as well, so you probably had less time than I did. I am seriously thinking of only reading *good* books from now on, since a lot of the ones on my list were a waste of time. Trouble is, there aren't enough good books to go round - or maybe there are, but how do you find them? Several of these I bought because they'd had good reviews, or through Amazon recs, only to be disappointed.
