flailpost re: The Pandorica Opens

aaaasdfhfghh :O forever.

In more coherent reactions, I have no idea how they are going to resolve this. But I have a certain amount of faith that they will.

I love all the lampshading they're doing this season. The reason the Pandorica has such a painfully obvious name is that it's based on Pandora's Box! It actually works! And it's not what caused the cracks and the exploding TARDIS after all, hmmm...

I said to Dad at the start 'Oh, they're revisiting all the episodes you didn't expect them to revisit'. (Also, totally called the message in the rock, without actually meaning it.) Missing from that list - Amy's Choice and The Lodger. Which leads me to a vague theory, because the alliance of the whole rogues' gallery... I didn't really buy it. Entire universe about to collapse on itself, yes, that's a fairly huge emergency, but still, it felt like a contrived excuse to get all the familiar faces together. And then I thought, they do love their lampshades. Maybe it is. Maybe the scenario isn't only based on Amy's memories. And, who exactly owned the TARDIS-like thing disguised as a flat?

I have not got any further than that question, but there you go.

Watching the Doctor's epic speech again in Confdential, it becomes slightly less epic when you realise it didn't have any actual effect. Because that's what they all expected him to do. Still, he told every adversary ever to come and have a go if they thought they were hard enough, and that is sufficiently epic.

And now, because I can't put it off any longer, NOOOO AMY AND PLASTIC RORY DDDD: *clings to him* You'd better fix that, Moffat.
