Don't get me started on the fact that breeders want everyone else to pay for their spawn but have absolutely NO input on their (lack of) parenting skills. It's funding without accountability, unlike a REAL job.
Back on topic... If you can't hack marriage, don't attempt it! I don't get the modern concept of "starter" marriages. If you're marrying someone with the idea that you'll be looking for something different in 5, 10, 15 years, just shack up or, better yet, maintain separate residences and have extended sleep-overs with each other. It'll save you a lot of hassle and headache in the long run.
