Remember how I wanted to go snowboarding today? Yeah, that worked out well…
I had set the alarm for 6:45am, an ungodly hour for a Saturday, but being outside in the mountains is about the only thing I'm willing to get up early for. Managed to be out of bed by 7:15am and on the road by 8am. A bit later than I'd planned, but still in time to make it down to Garmisch by 9am. That was until I hit traffic. Really, really bad traffic. Apparently everyone and their mother had the same plans as me.
I was basically standing still on the highway. For an hour. I finally made it to the ski resort by 10:15. Still okay to get some boarding in until 1pm, when I had planned to leave to make it back to Munich in time for my flight to Berlin. So I was a bit stressed, but glad I made it and enjoying the view.
Until I noticed I had forgotten my wallet. Yes. I am just that intelligent. I get up early, drive for over an hour to a ski resort and don't think to bring my wallet. *headdesk*
By this point I seriously considered sitting down in the snow and crying. I'd been looking forward to this all week and now my own stupidity ruined everything. Talked to boyfriend on the phone for a bit, who calmed me down and then drove back to Munich. At least there was no traffic on the way back.
What really gets me is that instead of pointlessly driving around Bavaria, I could have taken a flight out last night and spent the day with my boyfriend instead.
Intelligence, thy name is phoenikxs.
