Dealing with all of that seems very very unpleasant, to say the least and I'm sorry that you have too :/

I will say however, that I find it amazing how some older people can hold on for so long. It shows you what a real will to live can do for a person.

The thing is he doesn't have the will to live. Not really. He just doesn't feel like dying yet.
