Supernatural Review
Great, fun, goofy episode. I'm glad I spoiled myself a little bit so I was able to watch the episode with the right mindset and take it as a goofy episode, not a serious one.
One thing though is that I definitely overthunk it during the week thinking of all the things to make it epic: Becky, Chuck, Sam and Dean on IMDB reading the posts about them, Dean seeing a photo of Daneel, maybe even some nod toward Ten Inch Hero. Dean would totally say, "that sounds dirty."
Well, I laughed hysterically at several parts:
-"you were in a soap opera."
-"it's an alpaca, dumbass."
-"why don't we just buy it?"
-and Misha's tweets. AND MISHA ACTUALLY TWEETED DURING THE EPISODE! OF, COURSE HE DID! HE'S MISHA COLLINS: TWITTER KING!
-Jared's super huge computer monitor. Is AU!Jared trying to compensate for something?
Did anyone else notice that Gen's voice was a little less annoying in this episode? Was she talking differently or am I just getting used to it?
Some parts, though, I cried. Okay, not really cried, but whimpered for several minutes:
-MISHA WAS KILLED! D; THAT WAS SO SAD! THEN ALL BOB SINGER AND ERIC KRIPKE CARE ABOUT IS THE FRONT PAGE OF VARIETY! TYPICAL HOLLYWOOD BASTARDS!!!
-THEN HE OPENED FIRE ON THE SET! *WAILS*
-SAD DAY FOR SUPERNATURAL!
-Then I started thinking what it would be like in real life if it hit the news that Misha was killed then the next day, Bob Singer and Eric Kripke along with a bunch others were killed. Yeah, I know I probably overthink these things. Pardon my blasphemy, but angels can be real dicks.
One thing: not very many people watch the show, yet they have six seasons and the front page of Variety? BULL!
Then they get back to the real world. That was freaking epic! CAS SHOWS OFF HIS ANGEL WINGS AGAIN! SAY IT WITH ME: CAS IS A BAMF!!!!!!!!!!
But no Bobby? They mention Bobby will be back soon and then it just ends with "at least we're talking." Okay, yeah, I laughed but I didn't expect it just end like that. I hope they show us something more about this Mother of All stuff.
