Flu Shots

So today at my work was flu shots for the regular flu since the H1N1 flu shot won't be available to everyone else for a couple of months but that's not the point of all of this. While working, I was listening on the radio about how New York state has mandated that all of its health care officials get the H1N1 flu shot. Bit surprised that there

As I understand it, people don't get the flu shot because they're
- scared of needles
- lazy
- cheap and don't want to spend $25
- afraid of vaccines in general (with the idea that it's not good to infect yourself with anything.)
- thinking there's a shortage of shots and other people are higher risk (my current excuse)

I agree, though, that medical workers are definitely in a higher risk situation and should get the shot already.
