Frankly, the current upsurge in rampant bi-partisanism and hate mongering scares me.

CNN played some messages left on Republican congresspersons' phones, calling them racist %&^&$# and threatening to shoot them in the face with a 9mm.

Yeah, I don't care what your beliefs are, threatening anyone with violence over their political platform is batshit crazy, and needs to be immediately denounced.

This is getting beyond stupid. I can't get over the violence that people are advocating against each other... for their political views.

I might sincerely wish that a politician who holds the opposite views of my own is *defeated*, or humiliated, or otherwise shown to be the jackass that s/he his... but I wouldn't go so far as to actually advocate violence against them.
