Second Lives Promptathon Spring 2009 Schedule
Here's the schedule for our spring 2009 round of prompting and claiming and posting:
February 8 through February 19: We take prompt submissions.
February 20: We close to new prompts.
February 21: The prompt-compilation entries post (one each for fic, vids, non-icon art, and icons) and creators start claiming prompts. Claimed prompts will be struck through in each post so you can see what's still available. One prompt claim per person per medium: You can claim only one prompt at a time to write fic for, but you can also claim a prompt (the same one, if it's still unclaimed) to make art for, and if you're that ambitious (!), stake a claim in all four media.
February 21 to March 26: Writing/vidding/artmaking time. Moderated posting. You can post your entries to the community whenever they're finished, and we'll hold them in the queue until the following Friday, then release them in the order they posted. If you post the finished product for your prompt claim to the queue, you can claim another prompt in that medium during this time.
March 26: The open posting period begins. Members' entries will post right to the comm with no moderating. We'll stay open to prompt claims for two more weeks, so you can grab a prompt, make something and post it, grab another prompt, make something and post it right away.
April 9: The posting period ends and we close to prompt claims. If you claimed a prompt right away and push right to the end of the posting period, you'll have had almost seven weeks to write, vid, make art.
April 9 through April 30: We go back to moderated posting, which means that straggler entries can squeak through but we'll be keeping them queued for weekly releases again.
April 30: We release any stragglers from the queue and close posting completely. Unclaimed and abandoned prompts go into the pool for the next round.
