Yay, this looks like it will be a lot of fun!

Quick question for you: how about George Hammond? I haven't watched the ep :) but Aurora posted a snippet from the final ep of SGA, in which Sam says the newest ship has been renamed in his memory. So, does he qualify?

Definitely! We eeled around mentioning him in the userinfo and held off adding him to the character list in interests to avoid spoiling anyone who hadn't seen or heard about that yet, but he does qualify, and I hope we see a lot of futures for him. :-)

I am excessively happy about this!!!
(I was snooping around in the comments on a alternates post on SG Lims and you asked if you could use some icons for a comm you were plotting. Interesting... And then I commented about Janet/Emmett and you kindly linked to your 5things fic and in the comments of that was talk of a comm about giving departed characters the AUs they deserve. I put two and two together, in a hopeful sort of way. Et voila - it's here and you both officially rock! :D

Just wanted to let you know that my story has 'issues'. It's turned out to be a monster--I'm at 8000 words and I'm pretty sure there's at least that many to go. It's looking less and less likely that I'll be done in time for the deadline. I'm pretty sure that I'll have a rough draft, but beta-ing this puppy is probably going to take a while. I'll do my best to have a chapter to post, anyway. I have the icons and images done, but some of the pictures are meant to be displayed in the story as illustrations and will spoiler it, so I'll have to hold some of them back until I'm done.

I'm thrilled to hear that you've got such a deliciously long fic in the works. Posting a chapter if you can will be fine, but either way we'll make sure you can post the rest when you're ready.
