We celebrated 4th of July and survived. It's not a favorite holiday of mine - tending toward the sticky and the crowded, and a jingoistic knee-jerk patriotism.  It feels like a Summer Solstice for the Muggles - I mean there are any number of dates we could pick to celebrate the birth of our Nation.
