I'm getting married on Friday night.

In-game in Perfect World that is. Did I have you fooled? Haha!

I see now why you won't be leaving the game. Be very, VERY careful with that kind of thing. So many friends on FFXI had 'online only' relationships, only to have the other person fall in love with them and totally destroy any friendship they could've had.

Yeah, it's totally innocent. On your end.

P.S. - is that the max settings the game can go?

1) No that's not the max settings for the game. He sets his to only mid level for faster performance. Mine are of course set to bottom because I've got an 8yr old machine ( ... )

Only two weeks and you're e-marrying a character on a game with yours? I'd be jealous too, you know. While it's fun and innocent, it's not exactly something I'd consider doing with anyone other than my girlfriend. I know I'd feel lonely and feel like I'm being betrayed, even if it's just for fun.

Nope. Not really married. It's an aspect they have added to some MMO video games for the benefit of the players. Some folks who do it are real life couples getting married in game. Some are friends or teammates in game. Others do it just for fun. In my case we're friends and faction members which is why it's exciting. :)

Here's an example of an in-game wedding I attended for some other friends in a different game.
