Can't do anything about the "Edit Last Entry" thing. That's normal behavior.

As for the other suggestion to make an "Embed Video" command, that's not a bad idea. I'll see what I can do, and I should be able to do this without much trouble. I'll probably make it Command-D.

The ability to make a user-changable dock icon is probably beyond my skill. I've been learning REALBasic from scratch and I'm amazed I've accomplished what I have. I'll see what I can do though. :P

Any other suggestions? I'd hate to release a whole new version just for one feature addition. :)

Well, the obvious one but much harder, would be to be able to archive/download/"Book" ones LJ, with comments. This is non-trivial :).

My first thought is to add whatever of these Phoenix currently doesn't have:

Hmm. Update Azren? I would think it's the same thing as Phoenix, but with a different icon, which is why I thought changing icons might be easy.

Perhaps I should just figure out how to change the icon for any item in the dock and then do a write up in this community. :)

I'll have to think on this question longer, sorry.

I'll see if I can't create something in the preferences box that creates an "Azren mode" for Phoenix.

Chris got me straightened out, I've got the skull and cross bones for my dock, so I'm good. I'm an old timer who actually has a DeadJournal :).

You can copy the Azren icon by selecting it's icon from the Finder's Get Info dialog, hitting copy. Then selecting Phoenix's icon from the Finder's Get Info dialog and hitting paste. Should paste right over the old icon and show up in your dock that way.

If you go to Edit History, on the right side there is a drop down menu for you to select an journal to edit. You can select phoenix_lj from there and it will bring up all the latest phoenix_lj entries, just select yours and you should be able to edit it.

While you can't add to the make link feature, you could setup a macro to do something like it. The macros have command keys assigned to them and can work with selected text. I'd be happy to help you setup one if you would like.

It was odd, I had to copy the Azren Icon from Get info and the paste would only work when applied to the small icon of the Phoenix get info window, but it did work.

Oh. I had tried The "Edit Entry" not "Edit History". When trying Edit History just now, and selecting Phoenix_lj, the first two times I was told "Invalid password. The third time it not only allows me to see the entry I posted (Just the second entry, so I'm presuming you or the other Moderator wiped my bungled one) and it also allows me to retrieve the Moderator entries. I decided not to try to edit those! :)

I was able to set a macro to show the correct LJ markup to embed a macro, but I don't know the key to the left of the command key. It would be Unknown key + Command key + 1. I tried shift, option and ctrl with Command key + 1 with a variety of results in my browser, but not in Phoenix. :)

Thanks, Chris. Sorry to be a bother.

It's a problem with the LJ API the shows everyone's entries with the Edit History of Communities. However, the good news is you can only edit entries that you would have permission to edit. So, try as you might, you should not be able to edit my entries :)

That is the "Option" Icon, Apple actually prints the symbol on international keyboards, but for some dumb reason doesn't on the North American ones.

^ equates to "Control" and the upwards arrow most people recognize as "Shift".

That "Invalid Password" problem is a known bug, but I haven't been able to track what's causing it because it's intermittent. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.
