Don't forget that Yahoo automatically tracks your every action for the purposes of aiding advertisers (and their records are not covered by privacy laws) UNLESS you opt out. You have to opt out per computer, not per user, so you have to use the opt-out function on every computer you use.

why would i use yahoo for anything?

Sure, google tracks me -- but aside from ads, they use that to tailer searc results.

Which is actually pretty neat.

Actually, there are a number of sites which are Yahoo-affiliated without bothering to tell you.

It is extremely unlikely you are not using Yahoo unless you have made a conscious effort to search out the affiliations of each and every site you ever visit, including those of a google search.
