Vay and Maggie did an awesome job compiling The Huge List of H/D Fandom Favourites and The NEW 25 Most Read H/D fics.
Looking at those awesome lists got me wondering:
+ What are the old and new H/D fanart favourites?
+ Why don't we create an epic list that could be used as an introduction to H/D fanarts?
Therefore, I'm compiling -

*The purpose of splitting the list of fandom favourites is to ensure that older artworks (pre-2007) aren't excluded. I understand that it is harder to find them because some older artists have left fandom, or some links no longer work - but that's all the more reason why we need a pre-2007 list. Gorgeous art shouldn't be forgotten.
*A "classic fanart" here doesn't refer to the style of the artist or how popular the artwork is - it is just a nicer way of saying "ancient older fanart".
*I will also compile some stats, similar to the ones done here.
*I'll keep this open for as long as possible, but it should be closed before 2011.
