Hi there--

I'm sorry to bother you, but I saw your post on applyingtograd, and noticed that you were accepted into the Cornell English PhD program. I was wondering if you had any advice for a possible applicant (not for next year, but possibly a couple years down the road). Did you already have several academic publications? A stellar GRE score? Etc.? Mainly I'm just wondering if I'd even have a shot.
