It's hard sometimes to put into words what this election has meant, means, for this country. We throw around words like historic, but something like that only touches the surface of what tonights means. We read about all these great moments that have come before us, and what they've meant to the country going forward, and now we finally find

What are you talking about? I did drop off the face of the earth. But as everyone knows, objects in orbit are actually in a state of constant free fall, so I returned here eventually. :P

Seriously, I am just sooo bad in keeping up with everything. I deal with stuff in bursts, and sometimes I just let things slip for a couple days, then that turns into a couple weeks, and sooner or later, I look around and realize how long it's been since I've checked LJ/email/my bank account, etc. Is a very bad habit, I know.
