Today another childhood icon of mine from the boob-tube era passed on, this one of his own accord. Unlike most, he chose his time and it came as quite a shock to the world. My prayers and condolences are with his family and friends.
Apparently he died about noon. That's when the paramedics arrived at his house and he was pronounced dead. It took 5 hours for the press to finally release the story. I'm guessing because the police needed to do their investigation, so it was 5pm my time (MST) before Facebook lit up with the news.
I had wondered why you were so quiet, I understand about work. I've been busy with work and some personal stress. I'll be able to talk about it after this is all over. Hopefully by Christmas. It's just been a stressful couple of months. I'm trying hard not to let it get to me though.
I know what you mean. I've had a bit of heartbreak this past year, but Robin was the real shocker. I just cannot think about him as anything but happy, manic, and full of life. It's hard to think that he won;t be around any longer to bring joy to millions all over the world.
My husband got home from work about an hour before it was announced, but since he was writing on his computer instead of watching tv he didn't know a thing about it until I got home from work.
