Bracing for Impact...

Sometimes we have an idea. It's a COOL idea, but we are uncertain as to whether it is actually a GOOD idea. This weekend, I suffer the consequences of such an idea.

About a month ago, I posted about possibly having a weekend at my place for people to come hang out and work on craft projects, and thus the Drinkin Craftin Slumber Party Weekend was ( Read more... )

Inlaws are in town this weekend, or I might have asked to cruise by.

In any event, I might swing by if your computer could still use a peripheral. :-)

Much has changed since you were last at my place. I have a temporary roommate, a portion of whose rent is to get me sent up with his old laptop and a wireless network that includes a print server.

Funny, he is a Keith, too. I will check with him to see if he would like to question you about the available peripheral.

I may enter a communications blackout at 7:00. :D If I don't talk to you before then, I might not get back to you until Monday, hahahaha.

Is it ok if I bring a research project instead of a craft project? I have a boat-load of reading to do.

I left you a HUGE reply to this in Yahoo a couple of days ago. Looks like you didn't get it. Shame. It was a little clever. ;)

The summary is--bring what you like. It's your company I want.

Thppt. I notice evite often isn't so hot w/ the message sending. I will have to show up in person to appreciate your cleverness. :)

Should be Saturday-ish; I have to get to the library first, though.

The major thing that kills a friendship for me is when someone who should stand by you and back you up refuses to do so because he/she doesn't see your relationship (friendship or otherwise) as something worthwhile.

Second is someone who is malicious and threatening to my friends. It's not funny. It's not a joke. It should be taken seriously and not excused.

I really don't think that we'll run into these things at the Craft Party. At least I hope not; I've had enough this year.

Also, keep in mind that although you are pulling from different communities, many of the people you know have "memberships" in several of these groups.

I suggest getting several trash stations and some drop cloths set up to ensure that your apartment isn't accidentally damaged by crafts, bloody alterations or too much boozing.

Cheers!
:D

I was actually a bit more concerned about how my knitting girls might begin to think of me differently after they got both barrels full of the kind of people I surround myself with when I am not knitting.

But since they are a randy bunch who call themselves the Smackaho Tribe, I am probably okay.

I'm hiding the toys, though. ;)

We are located in Marietta right off of exit 261 on Interstate 75. This is the Delk Rd exit. Once you get off on this exit, go West. You will then take your first left onto Franklin Rd. Go to the first stoplight and take a left. Take the third entrance on the left, followed by and immediate right. Our building will be on your left.

I wanna do decopauge, I've got a few frames I want to do and I'll bring a few extras for anyone who wants to venture a try.
