I just read this column about a social housing development in an area near where my mum used to live.

No one is good just because they have a lot of money. And no one is bad just because they're poor.

Exactly. Unfortunately the stigma attached to lower income areas has been around for centuries, so it's pretty much ingrained in the human psyche. I have no idea how that could be changed though :(
