electronic narcolepsy

So, I'm betting the computer's going to crash before I can finish this (which is why I'm using a text program, smary-boots that I am). [bloop] Hey look, it did it again. You know, I wouldn't mind so much if I knew a way to make it so that my computer didn't make that loud "start-up" bong when I turned it back on. Merf. Oo! Almost forgot to save, ( Read more... )

Mine would freeze, and later I found out it was my antivirus prgram, which on the last freeze, corrupted itself so windows wouldn't load. After reinstalling windows from safe mode, and 20 reboots later, I figured it out, uninstalled the program, and voila. Now it freezes like a normal WIN98 machine should with a 4 year old hard drive-about once every two days. Charming.

I miss you by the way.

*laughs* As always, you manage to find a spark of truth where others see only the first few misleading/irrelevant layers. It's refreshing. Thank you. ;)

(Does this response mean the computer is now usable? or did you sneak this in the first 30 seconds before it conked out on you?)

(*chuckles* Neither, on the day in question. My computer was still crashing every 5 to 30 seconds. That comment was thanks to my one, brief, spontaneous visit with a semi-public computer.
As of today, however, my computer is usable. I retrieved it a few hours ago and it is thus far pleasantly crash-free.)
