"Organic" and "natural" do not equal "better"

Let me start this out by saying that I firmly believe that humans have a responsibility to live in harmony with our planet. We have a responsibility as caretakers of this planet we call home, and we've done a poor job so far of living up to that responsibility ( Read more... )

Amen! I keep trying to explain to people that just because it's on the shelf at Trader Joe's (for example), doesn't mean it's good for me to eat, based on my nutritional/weight goals. Granola is high in fat. Sugar is sugar. If I'm trying to lower my fat and sugar intake, buying it at TJs instead of Ralph's is NOT going to help!
