in my quest for more meaningless, completely asinine things to take up my time (for example my retardedly ocd organization of my music files...which never got done btw, and my weekend decision to remodel the bathroom...among countless others), i have decided that i would like to be better read.
this is
reflaxion's fault because he posted a list of challenged books and i thought "hey, i should go on a search for books to read and see if they live up to their hype."
So, after attempting to find a good list of stuff, i settled on
SparkNotes.com to be my guide.
i will almost assuredly give up less than a third of a way through this list, but you know what? less than a third > 0. i will be better off no matter how far i get.
my only question now is whether i ought to reread books i "read" at austin.
a) i don't remember if i actually read them
b) i'm older now and may appreciate books such as chinua achebe's "things fall apart" more than i did back then. . o O(yams? maybe not...)
thoughts on my insanity level, anyone?
