I am watching a play on DR1, "Martas tema" written by Nicoline Werdelin. It is so fantastic. I can't say everything I want to say without giving away spoilers, but it is set both in the present day and in 1873, and it says so much about misogyny, sexism, classism, homophobia and life. You guys in Denmark, be sure to catch any reruns of it.

Oh, SurveyFail, you have provided me with hours upon hours of amusement as well as some very good training in spotting idiocy in research at 20 paces.

I'm sorry about you and your mother, but actually find it impressive that you manage to be off your antidepressants and dealing with you financial situation at the same time. Go team you!

I think I managed to spend at least 12 hours following SurveyFail as it unfolded while reading my assigned reading for my BA course. It did mean that I overslept yesterday, but it was very entertaining and educating. It was worth it all if just for neededalj's post on what to look for the next time researchers come knocking on our door.
Hee, thank you! I think the big difference between this and other times in my life is that I can talk to my sisters now and we all kinda support each other in this, which is wonderful.
How are things with you? Are you managing living on your own?

I know! I keep wanting to link my professors to a link round-up, or perhaps this. Because I'm - no joke! - taking Research Method w/Statistics this fall, and it's just perfect.

I'm glad. But you know where I am if you need me, right?

It's going great! I'm really enjoying it, and settling in. Now I just need to really get started at uni again...

That would be fantastic. Also, I like the way academics outside of fandom have reacted to this (including this neuroscientist) have reacted. I like knowing that it has caught the attention of non-fans.
I sure do! And even if I am not in dire need of a hug, we should totally get together and squee fannishly over something again sometime. :)
Good! Have you not started yet or is it just a matter of your brain not having started properly?
